Can you name the specific ad that paid for your last five jobs?
You can probably see which ads bring in leads. The harder question is which of those leads became paying jobs. An ad that brings in a lot of leads isn’t always the one paying for the campaign. Send us your company name. In 48 hours we run 7 checks on your tracking from the outside and show you what’s missing, and what to fix first.
Your ads show leads.
Your schedule shows jobs.
Nothing connects the two, so your reports can’t say which ad is paying for the campaign.
That’s a setup problem, whether you run your ads yourself or someone else does.
Your tracking, checked from the outside
Here are four of them. Each one gets a pass or a fail, in plain words.
Check 1: Ad tags
Can Google and Meta see your leads at all?
If the tags aren’t on your site, your ads are running blind.
Check 2: What counts as a lead
What does your site tell Google and Meta is a lead?
If it reports a page view or a tap on a button as a lead, your ads go find more of the wrong thing.
Check 3: Call tracking
Do your phone calls get tracked?
If your jobs come in by phone and calls from ads aren’t tracked, those calls look like they came from nowhere.
Check 4: Where your ads land
Where do your ads send people?
From the public ad libraries: the ads you’re running right now, and whether each one lands on the page for that service.
Plus 3 more
Can a lead be followed once it leaves your page?
The other three look at what your site keeps and passes on when someone reaches out. They’re in your scorecard.
One scorecard, in plain words
A pass or a fail on all 7. For every fail, what it means in booked jobs and how to fix it. And the first thing to fix, if you only do one.
Plus a one page fix list you can hand to whoever runs your site or ads, and a list of the ads you’re running right now and where each one lands.
7 Point Booked Jobs Check
Prepared for
Example Plumbing Co.
A made up company, to show the format. Three of the seven checks are left off this sample.
- Pass
1. Ad tags
Google Ads, GA4 and Meta tags found.
- Fail
2. What counts as a lead
Counts a tap on the call button, not a call.
- Fail
3. Call tracking
Same phone number for every visitor.
- Pass
4. Where your ads land
Each ad lands on its service page.
What it’s costing you
Most of this company’s jobs come in by phone, and none of those calls can be traced to the ad that sent them. The ads that book jobs and the ads that don’t look the same.
Fix this first
Call tracking, so every call from an ad shows which ad it came from.

Before you send it
Do you need my logins?
No. Every check runs from the outside, on your public website and the public ad libraries. You never share a password.
Will you call me?
No. The check comes by email, and there’s no follow up unless you reply.
What do you actually look at?
Only what’s public: the tracking your website loads, how your calls are tracked, what happens after someone sends your form, and the ads you run in the Meta Ad Library and the Google Ads Transparency Center. We can’t see your ad accounts, your CRM or your numbers, and the scorecard says so.
What if everything passes?
We tell you that in writing too. A pass on all 7 means your setup can be traced to a booked job, not that it already is.
Is this a sales pitch?
It’s yours to keep, whether we ever talk or not. If you want help with a fix, reply to the email. If you don’t, that’s the end of it.
